There is allot to do in the Outer Banks. For Lighthouse visitors the Corolla Light Lighthouse is within a few miles of the house and the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is on the southern part of the Outer Banks. Jockey's Ridge is a huge sand pile in a state park where you can not only climb to the top but go hang gliding if you chose. There are wild horse tours but they usually just come by the house since you would be staying in the area where the horses roam free. Surf fishing is very big and it is especially prevalent on Swan Beach. The sound is close by for fresh or brackish water fishing. You can go bike riding on the beach, kayaking, surfing and there is a winery to visit just to name a few things. Of course the local cuisine (fish, BBQ) is wonderful. You can also just sit on the deck and watch the dolphin swimming just off shore or go exploring. The house has hundred of movies on DVD and commercial arcade machines for the small and big kids (Adults). I could go on and on but sometimes it's better to find things for yourself.
